On March 29, 2023, Dr. Octavia Cannon received the Distinguished Service Award (for service both within ACOOG and in the community) as well as a Commendation for Meritorious Service from the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics & Gynecology!

Dr. Cannon is a past National President of ACOOG and the first and only African American President in its 90-year history.   Dr. Tom Dardarian presented the award on behalf of current President Dr. Kate Bernadini.
